To put simply, Esal e Sawab is nothing other than to ask Allah for the forgiveness of our sins, and to raise the spiritual status of the deceased. Allah (Almighty.) has praised those Muslims who ask for forgiveness of the deceased.
Itis not an appropriate judgement to say, "Allah will definitely accept that prayer." For, nobody has the authority to make a judgment on behalf of Allah. The statement in the Quran is "Every prayer is answered", not "I accept every prayer of you." To answer means to hear the voice of the person who prays and to deal with his wish.
